Independent status
PantoneTools.com is an independent color-reference website. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or approved by Pantone LLC, RAL gGmbH, or any other color-standard or paint-manufacturer organization referenced on this site.
Trademarks
- PANTONE® is a registered trademark of Pantone LLC.
- RAL® is a registered trademark of RAL gGmbH.
- Other product names, color-system names, paint-manufacturer names, and brand identifiers mentioned on this site are trademarks or registered trademarks of their respective owners.
- All such marks are used here solely for identification and editorial reference (nominative use). Their use does not imply any commercial relationship, endorsement, license, or sponsorship.
Accuracy of color values
All HEX, RGB, CMYK, HSL, and CIE Lab values shown on this site for Pantone, RAL, and other named color references are independently computed digital approximations intended for screen reference, design exploration, and informal comparison only. They are:
- not official color data from the trademark holders,
- not color-managed or measured against a calibrated instrument,
- subject to variation depending on your monitor, browser, operating system color profile, and ambient lighting conditions, and
- not a substitute for licensed digital values, physical fan decks, or professional press proofs.
Production color decisions
For any color-critical decision — including brand identity, packaging, industrial coating, signage, printing, or manufacturing — always verify the color against an official, current physical guide from the trademark holder (for example, a current Pantone Formula Guide or RAL color register) under standardized D50 lighting, and confirm production output with a printer-supplied proof on the final substrate. See our methodology for details on how we derive the values shown.
Conversions between color systems
Cross-system conversions (for example, Pantone-to-RAL, Pantone-to-CMYK, RAL-to-Pantone, HEX-to-Pantone) are computed using the CIEDE2000 (ΔE2000) perceptual color-distance formula applied to sRGB values converted to CIE Lab. Cross-system conversions are approximate by nature: different color systems use different inks, substrates, and reference conditions, and an exact match across systems is rarely physically possible. Always confirm cross-system production work with the relevant vendor and proof.
